Shima leads Sharp Tudhope’s employment law team and acts for clients in all aspects of employment law including:
Drafting contracts and policies,
Providing advice on disciplinary, redundancy, performance management and other employment processes, and
Representing clients at mediation, in the Employment Relations Authority and before the Employment Court.
Shima joined Sharp Tudhope in 2008, having previously worked for a leading specialist employment law firm in Auckland.
Shima also worked for several years in London as in-house employment counsel. In that role Shima worked directly with managers, assisting them with day-to-day issues such as recruitment, dealing with misconduct, and performance management. Shima also advised on large-scale restructuring exercises.
Shima was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor in May 2000.
