Jessie is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer with particular expertise in energy law.
She was admitted to the bar in July 2006 and previously worked for a top-tier firm in Wellington where she acted for clients in both the public and private sectors on a range of corporate and commercial transactions. She advised on several complex projects, including the purchase of the Wellington electricity network by an overseas-listed infrastructure company, the syndicated procurement of telecommunication services by a group of government agencies, and the Auckland integrated fares systems smartcard project.
Jessie was then a partner at a leading Southland firm where she was responsible for the corporate and commercial legal work of power companies, forestry owners, an airport authority and a tertiary education institute. She also acted for clients in the rural sector and held a governance role in a dairy farming business.
Jessie moved to Tauranga and joined Sharp Tudhope in February 2018.
She is highly-regarded for her legal acumen and ability to provide sound legal advice which is easily understood by clients. She enjoys building and maintaining strong client relationships and prides herself on working in an efficient manner.
