Matthew Billett
Matthew is our Chair of Partners and an expert in property, commercial, private client and rural law. He graduated from the University of Waikato in 2000 and joined Sharp Tudhope in 2008.
He has a particular interest in all property matters including residential and commercial conveyancing, leasing, development, subdivision and unit titles, forestry, kiwifruit and rural matters. He also provides advice to clients on commercial and rural issues and works alongside people starting out in business and new to Tauranga.
He is passionate about the economic growth of Tauranga and the Bay of Plenty region by way of new business, expanding existing businesses and enterprises. He also finds it immensely satisfying to help others. Being a lawyer is a trusted position and it’s a privilege to be part of people’s lives and business decisions. Matthew’s philosophy is to treat everyone with respect and always remember that no-one is better than anybody else.
