The Sharp Tudhope family grows
We’re proud to share that Alesha Evetts, who leads our family law team, has been appointed as a Partner at Sharp Tudhope.
A Tauranga local, Alesha joined the firm in April 2024 to establish and grow our family law practice. With an impressive 20 years of experience in family law she has built a strong reputation in complex relationship property matters, trust and estate claims, and representing clients in the Family Court.
Alesha’s leadership and values
Sharp Tudhope Partner Brooke Courtney says it is clear to see that Alesha shares the firm’s values of integrity, teamwork, responsiveness and quality.

Motivated to continue to grow the firm’s family law practice, Alesha says as a Partner, she is looking forward to shaping the future of the family law team at Sharp Tudhope and continuing to foster the culture she values at the firm.

Alesha says the timing couldn’t be better to become a Partner.
“The growth of Tauranga, coupled with the reputation of the firm and the bright talent we have in the team makes it an exciting time to take on the role of Partner and plan for the future,” she adds.
A career built on experience and dedication
Alesha’s legal career started from the ground up. Beginning as an administrator in the family law team at a local legal firm, she went on to complete her law degree and was admitted to the bar in 2009. She has practised exclusively in the family law space and advises on a broad range of family law matters including the protection of personal and property rights, the care of children, adoption issues and family violence.
Attracted to the complexity of family law from the start of her career, Alesha says with societal changes and the evolution of the notion of family, it is an interesting and ever-changing area to practice in.
“By putting people at the heart of my work, I am always looking to find pragmatic and tailored solutions for each client that meet their needs, which sees their legal position preserved but which – as far as possible – helps them to maintain future family relationships,” she says.
Outside of work Alesha and her husband enjoy spending time outdoors with their children and exploring the region.
