Alesha Evetts
LLB, BA, Victoria University of Wellington
Alesha was admitted to the bar in 2009, joined Sharp Tudhope in 2024 and was appointed as a Partner in early 2025. She has spent her entire legal career practising family law in the Bay of Plenty.
A proud Tauranga local, Alesha practises in all areas of family law with a particular focus on complex relationship property, trust and estate claims following the breakdown of a relationship or the death of a spouse or partner. Alesha has a pragmatic approach and has successfully resolved many of these claims through Alternate Dispute Resolution; although she is equally comfortable appearing in Court to have these claims determined where an agreed settlement is not possible. Alesha also acts for and advises clients on Contracting Out/Prenuptial Agreements which often form a part of people’s broader estate planning. Alesha advises on and appears in the Family Court on matters under the Protection of Personal and Property Rights Act (particularly where a Property Manager and Welfare Guardian needs to be appointed for someone who has lost capacity), Care of Children Act, Adoption Act and Family Violence Act.
