Congratulations to Brooke Courtney, named as one of NZ Lawyer’s Elite Women of 2024

We are proud to share that Brooke Courtney, our Chair of Partners, has been named one of NZ Lawyer’s Elite Women of 2024. This recognition reflects Brooke’s dedication to the legal profession and her positive impact on the Tauranga community.

A Trusted Leader in Law and the Community

Brooke’s expertise spans property and trust law, with a focus on commercial property, leasing, and developments. She has played a key role in local projects, including iwi-led social housing initiatives that are helping shape Tauranga’s future.

As Chair of Partners at Sharp Tudhope, Brooke’s leadership is valued both within the firm and by her clients. She also leads our Trust Law team, advising on matters like trust structuring and beneficiary rights.

Beyond her legal work, Brooke is committed to the community. She serves as Vice-Chair for Downtown Tauranga and is a founding trustee of the Ladies Charity Luncheon Charitable Trust, which raised over $600,000 for local causes. Her advocacy for diversity is reflected in her support of the Gender Equality Charter and Sweat with Pride.

About the Award

In July, NZ Lawyer invited nominations for their Elite Women list, seeking female leaders who are passionate about the law and have made a positive impact in the profession. The final list of 30 was selected based on nominees’ achievements and contributions over the past year.
