Making consenting easy

Consents may be a necessary requirement for you to do what you want to do.  It is important to front load your planning process and secure quality advice before you get started.

This front loading can come in many forms, starting with:

  • ensuring any purchase or legal access arrangements provide adequate protection;
  • understanding what consents or permissions are required including how they relate to the Building Act 2004 and other legislation;
  • identifying who might be an ‘affected person’ that should be notified about your application; and
  • pulling together an experienced team of professionals who can work together to get you there whilst jumping over any hurdles that appear along the way.

The above approach is even more important where there are several Councils involved, large scale or complex activities proposed or contingent risks such as financing and approvals under other regulatory schemes.

At Sharp Tudhope Lawyers, we like to work collaboratively with you and your team and where you need helping drawing a team together we can help you with that too.

Feel free to contact us to discuss how you should move forward to get your consent in place and your project rolling ahead smoothly and efficiently.
